Phil Spencer has shared several tweets from his recent visit to The Coalition, revealing “enhancements” coming to Gears 5. While the nature of these enhancements is not clear, fans are taking it as a hint to things to come when Xbox Series X releases later this year. Genshin Impact has a brand new event, called the Misty Dungeon: Realm of Light. In this event, a unique set of dungeons have opened up to players, each with a special theme. Each dungeon also has a different Leyline Disorder. In the Misty Dungeon: Realm of Light dungeons, you can only use from a pre-selected group of characters. Genshin Impact’s new five-star DPS character Yoimiya hasn’t made much of an impression with a large part of the game’s player base. Unredacted court documents indicate the intent by Google to purchase Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite. Epic Games is still in a legal case against Google and Apple for removing Fortnite from their respective app stores. However, in order to circumvent the legal proceedings, Google was prepared to buy a portion or the entirety of Epic Games. Doing so would require Epic to drop its case against Google as the latter company would force the former to sign an anti-compete agreement....

Epic working to fix issues that were caused by the latest patch. The latest update for Fortnite was pushed out by Epic Games earlier this morning, but apparently it has broken the game for many players and the new features such as the new Playground Mode has been disabled for the time being. Epic says that they are working on an “Emergency Patch” for the game that will try to fix the stability and performance issues that many Fortnite players are currently facing....

KartRider: Drift, a free-to-play kart racing game with crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, announced in October’s PlayStation State of Play that it is now opening its third closed beta registration for PS4 owners. The first and second closed beta periods — which were exclusive to PC and Xbox One players — were previously held on December 2019 and June 2020 respectively. Sony has just announced that the PSN will reach full restoration this week. PlayStation customers will be able to purchase and download game and video content from the PlayStation Store via the PS3 or PSP.
