However, the company hasn’t yet revealed a release date since the game is still pretty early in development. Taking place 30 years after the apocalyptic blizzard storm in the first game, the Earth is still overwhelmed by the icy climate of never-ending frost and harsh weather....

With major events across the globe canceled or postponed through the first half of the year due to the new coronavirus, the status of Gamescom 2020 has come into question. Gamestop has listed a special “Limited Edition Golden Bundle” for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. You get an extra bonus not being offered anywhere else so far. Gamestop posted: “This Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Limited Edition Golden Bundle includes; Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Exclusive Super Saiyan Goku Glow in the Dark Funko 3″ mini figure.” It’s worth mentioning this bundle costs slightly more expensive than the average video game. Gears of War 4 doesn’t actually launch until next month, but that hasn’t stopped a launch trailer for the game being released anyway. This one is dubbed the “gameplay launch trailer,” though it shows off plenty of cinematics to go along with the in-game action. This trailer is narrated by John DiMaggio, who everyone will recognize as the voice of the original trilogy’s protagonist Marcus Fenix. It goes into the peace that humanity enjoyed for over two decades following the original trilogy, though now a new threat has arisen....

As you explore the area surrounding Monstadt in Genshin Impact, you may come across a quest called Break the Sword Cemetery Seal, which requires you to explore and unlock the tri-seal that surrounds a chest. In a surprise Tweet, Genshin Impact announced a partnership with Val Thorens, the world’s highest ski resort located in the Tarentaise Valley of the French Alps. The collaboration was announced on the evening of Dec. 17, 2021—but the event began on Dec. 14, 2021. Genshin Impact promises to host a series of mysterious events and roll out plenty of exciting content, but it’s unclear whether these will be limited to visitors of Val Thorens, or if the collaboration will extend to Teyvat....

Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller has commented his recent playtest at a press event of God of War, stating that what he played felt some kind of superhero fight between Kratos, of course, and an unknown enemy. As reported by Shinobi, Miller said “the first real boss fight – the first character that you have to fight, is the best ‘superhero’ [style] fight that I’ve ever played in a video game,” adding more fuel to the hype engines....

Gone Home has been a huge success story for Fullbright Company, earning the Game of the Year Award from Polygon and Kilscreen and selling north of 250,000 copies. However, there have been some criticisms towards Gone Home, as Fullbright co-founder Steve Gaynor told GamesIndustry International. Some of them are expected, with Gone Home being labeled as “not a game”, “a walking simulator”. However, as Gayner also noted, the biggest criticism wasn’t towards Gone Home’s positive portrayal of gays, the relative lack of violence or even the prominence of woman....

One of the most impressive features announced by Google alongside the Pixel 3 was Call Screen (known earlier as Duplex), which has now begun rolling out for the Pixel 2 in the US as well. The feature allows users to identify the caller and filter out spam calls by letting the Google Assistant answer it and send a specific response, while the whole conversation is transcribed in real time. The transcripts of all screened calls will be automatically stored in the call log as soon as the call is disconnected....
