Cory’s first reason is that God of War 2018 as well as God of War: Ragnarok each have had around 5 years of development time, and if the story were to stretch out for one more game to cap-off a trilogy that would mean 15 years worth of game development on a single idea and story arc, which would be too much of a stretch....

Fortnitemares is finally here. Update 14.40 for Fortnite has finally been released, and here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Fortnitemares has finally begun, bringing Midas and his reawakened henchmen back to the island. New modes, weapons, items, and gear have been added to the game, so there’s plenty to do while the event is live for the next two weeks. You can complete challenges to earn some items for free, but the really cool stuff, like the upcoming Ghostbusters skins, will cost you some V-Bucks....

This patch contains hotfixes for Houseparty video chat. Update 2.95 has been released for Fortnite, and here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this update. This is a small, unannounced patch that only contains a handful of minor fixes, so don’t expect any significant new content additoins with this update. Fortnite is getting video chat functionality soon via a service called Houseparty, and this update paves the way for the integration by addressing a few issues before it goes live....

Forza Motorsport 7 is a great game, but fans have been unhappy with a few of the changes made to core systems within the series. Big news for fans of the science fiction series Dune. Legendary Entertainment and Herbert Properties LLC have reached a licensing agreement with developer Funcom to create video games based on the works of Frank Herbert’s DUNE. The agreement is for at least three games, and it seems they will be headed for both consoles and PCs. Based on Funcom’s history it’s not surprising that the first game will apparently be a massively multiplayer online game of some kind....

Genshin Impact officially announced its plans for the extended Version 2.6 update on social media, which details the extension of Kamisato Ayaka’s banner and the reappearance of the Spices from the West event. This extension falls in line with the delayed Version 2.7 update, likely caused by the stressful COVID situation in China, where developer HoYoverse’s headquarters are located. Earlier leaks suggested that the delay would introduce rerun banners for Arataki Itto and Xiao, but Genshin Impact has debunked those claims by announcing that Kamisato Ayaka’s banner will instead run until the end of Version 2....
