Another easy Snowmando Challenge to cross off the list. Operation Snowdown is underway in Fortnite, and the latest challenge requires you to destroy five nutcracker statues. These statues can thankfully be found everywhere, so you can quickly knock this challenge out in one or two matches. Like the other Operation Snowdown challenges, you only have a limited time to get this challenge done, but you have plenty of time until the event comes to a close....

A lot of Fortnite discussions have made the rounds for the past few days. If you haven’t heard, they did something incredible over the weekend and threw the game into a black hole. You can check out this massive, dark abyss on the game’s website right now. It went down during “the end” of a live stream event, and we’re left here wondering what to do next. While we’re waiting, some details are getting leaked online about what’s coming up for the highly popular battle royale game....

After several weeks of teasing, Fortnite: Battle Royale’s 4.0 update is here and a comet has come with it. Along with a number of tweaks and changes, the main feature of the update is that the massive comet that has been seen in the sky for the better part of a month has finally crashed down and left a ton of damage in its wake. The comet itself has struck Dusty Depot, leaving behind a crater that is now called Dusty Divot....

Another week, another new content update for Fortnite’s ever-popular battle royale mode. Update v21.50 ushers in Shadow of Phantasm week, which might sound a bit like Batman: Mask of the Phantasm to some ears. There’s no caped crusader here though — just four stealthy weapons being unvaulted. As announced on the Fortnite blog, the Shadow Bomb, Shield Bubble, Suppressed Assault Rifle, and Suppressed SMG are all returning to the game. Ubisoft has revealed all the games that will be part of their Uplay+ premium pass when it launches on September 3. It is a substantial offering, covering over 100 games, and much of their additional content and DLCs. You will also be able to get access to new releases before launch, and will automatically be able to get access to all betas as well. For $14.99 a month, it’s a hell of a deal....

In a note to investors and analysts, GameStop has hinted at the possibility that PS5 and Xbox Scarlett get 2019 announcements. That’s not the biggest surprise since Microsoft is going to reveal the first details about Scarlett at E3 in June. Sony might take a bit longer until early 2020, but there’s still a chance something slips off PlayStation Experience in late December. Both platforms are believed to be dropping around the end of 2020, in the usual launch window of late November....

The Revised Classic is Leaving the Switch Later This Year Yesterday Capcom announced that the Switch exclusive Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection would be coming to more platforms. The game was released on the Nintendo Switch back in February and features several classic, remixed, and new levels. The game is described as a new experience born of the classic games on which it is based. The game was received well, so it’s port to more consoles, and the PC is welcome....

With the upcoming release of Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo, we got our hands on the game ahead of time and can share our experience with the first two chapters. In those chapters, we’re introduced to our main protagonists, Akira and KK, as they explore Shibuya, a district of Tokyo. The adventure wastes no time putting you straight into the action with KK attempting to possess Akira, forcing the two to work together....

Ghostwire: Tokyo has a touching story and surreal combat, and it’s out very soon — the release date is March 25 on PlayStation 5 and PC, in fact. If you’re looking to play it on PC, then you’ll need to know if your machine can run it. It supports both DLSS and AMD FSR, but you’ll need the right hardware to tap into those. Fortunately, Bethesda has just provided spec lists for Ghostwire: Tokyo, so you can check in before purchasing it on PC....

Ghostwire: Tokyo’s release date has been up in the air a few times. After being rated in Korea, the game seemed to be on track for an official announcement. Then the release date leaked on the PlayStation Store, and now we know for sure when it’ll be out. Ghostwire: Tokyo’s February 2022 showcase airs tomorrow, February 3 at 5 PM ET / 2 PM PT, but we don’t need to wait till then for confirmation....

Update, December 3, 5:33 PM ET: With Fortnite’s Fracture Event coming to an end, developer Epic Games has officially unveiled the previously-leaked cinematic. Aside from the cutscene, the new trailer has also provided key art displaying The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia, Doom’s Doom Slayer, and antagonist Geno as incoming skins in Chapter 4 Season 1. If the key art follows the pattern of those from past seasons, players can expect these characters to be a part of the game’s next Battle Pass....

I can feel it. Fortnite Season 7’s finale made players aware of the infinite number of Kevin the Cubes and changed how everyone perceived the actuality of cubes in Fortnite. Fortnite Season 8 came along and Kevin the Cube has gotten an entire season spun around it.
