John Farley, a man noted for suing Subway because they were selling 11-inch sandwiches as “footlongs”, now has a new target. GameStop. According to Farley, GameStop did not disclose that used games purchased from select publishers (EA, THQ, Sony Entertainment for example) had hidden costs, whether through online passes or downloadable content. As such, GameStop is currently being sued. Online passes, first introduced in THQ’s UFC Undisputed 2010 and later popularized by EA’s “Project Ten Dollar”, were essentially a one-time activation code found in all new copies of a game....

It has been a busy season for Genshin Impact in terms of leaks. We are hearing a lot about Fontaine, even when Sumeru isn’t quite finished. Genshin Impact Version 3.1 introduced a whole new desert region to Sumeru, bringing us new characters Cyno and Candace. Now that the second phase of Version 3.1 has begun, Cyno and Candace are about to make their leave, making room for another new 5-star character to take the spotlight. During a launch live stream, PlayStation has revealed a prototype version of God of War that was submitted to Sony in the effort to have the green light on the project before embarking on the quest of properly build it. Google India is giving 100 school students, and their parents, across the country an opportunity to attend a summer camp at its offices in Gurgaon and Hyderabad through the new ‘Summer With Google’ campaign. As part of the campaign, the company will assign an activity to kids via the ‘Summer With Google’ website each week for four weeks and will shortlist the winners from the list of kids who are able to successfully complete the assignments....

Citing the breach of a few anti-competitive laws in India, the Competitive Commission of India (CCI) has today ordered to initiate an investigation against Google for abusing the position of Android TV in the smart TV sector. The Indian antitrust watchdog has started investigating a case filed against the Mountain View giant last year by two lawyers. However, the two Indian lawyers, Kshitiz Arya and Purushottam Anand, who filed the initial case say that Google had restricted the development of many virtual goods and services through its anti-competitive practices....
