Google GDC 2019 Developer Day session brings in yet another few very popular and relevant developers to the lot.

Only a few hours ago we’ve shared the news that the DD is getting id Software, the makers of DOOM and Rage, and Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed’s publisher.

On top of that, the Mountain View giant has revealed a couple of other big names joining the session shortly after the gaming keynote in San Francisco.

Indeed, the creator of the Uncharted series Amy Hennig has been invited, together with Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind Tomb Raider and The Avengers Project, and Ultima Online game designer Raph Koster.

Let’s make it clear why it’s so important that these developers are coming at the Google GDC 2019 Developer Day.

Google is preparing a keynote for March 19, at 10am PST, where it is sharing its plans for “the future of gaming.”

We’ve known for a while about Project Stream, which even launched in late 2018 with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in the form of a private beta.

That could be just the beginning, though, as the company is rumored to be building a new console capable of rivalring with PlayStation and Xbox.

So, the fact these developers are joining Google at GDC 2019 could mean they have some sorts of deal to bring their games on the platform anytime soon.

One in particular, SEGA, is rumored to be making exclusive titles for it, so we’ll hopefully learn more on March 19.
