The acclaimed first-person adventure Gone Home is bringing its unique and intimate narrative to Nintendo Switch this month.

With a new publisher, the film distributor turned game publisher Annapurna Interactive, and original developers The Fullbright Company announced that a digital version of the game will be available later this month. It will be the first time the game has been on a Nintendo system, also being available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Gone Home follows 21-year-old Katie Greenbriar after she arrives home from a trip to find her home is completely empty. Without her parents and sister there to greet her, Katie worries that something’s up.

Players investigate items and clues scattered throughout the middle class mansion. When it originally released, many were forgiven for thinking Gone Home was a horror game with the dark night and lonely house. It is, however, extremely moody and atmospheric, with plenty of stories meant to be unraveled.

Gone Home was a milestone for video games, setting the stage for story-driven “walking simulators” like Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch. The Fullbright Company went to space in their follow-up, 2017’s Tacoma.

Gone Home goes home to the Nintendo Switch on Aug. 23.
