A new program has been added to the DRM-free gaming platform called GOG, and this one is all about letting you get DRM-free versions of games you have on other platforms. It’s called GOG Connect, and it allows you to get DRM-free versions of qualifying games in your Steam library.

The setup is pretty easy, as all you have to do is connect your Steam account to GOG and add the games that are eligible to your GOG library. You have the option to download individual installers for each game, or to send them to the GOG Galaxy desktop client.

However, the basis that this program runs on is that the opportunities to do this are for limited amounts of time and with developers and publishers who are currently participating in the program. This means that not everything that you have in Steam will be eligible, and the games that are eligible right now probably won’t remain that way forever.

Right now there’s currently 22 games eligible for this program, and they are the following:

  • Bit.Trip Runner
  • Braid
  • Breach & Clear
  • Breach & Clear: Deadline
  • Broken Sword: Director’s Cut
  • FTL: Advanced Edition
  • Galactic Civilizations III
  • Mount & Blade
  • Project Zomboid
  • Saints Row 2
  • Shadowrun Returns
  • Sherlock Holmes: Secret of the Silver Earring
  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
  • The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
  • The Witness
  • To the Moon
  • Trine Enchanted Edition
  • Two Worlds
  • Unreal Gold
  • Unreal Tournament GOTY
  • VVVVVV
  • Xenonauts
