For many, the looter shooter craze of the last decade has been an incredibly great time. Borderlands was the pioneer of that craze, with games like The Division and Destiny following suit with their own takes. All three franchises make great use of the system and remain among some of my favorites to this day. Gearbox Publishing, the publishing wing of the Borderlands developer, is ready to unveil a new looter shooter (or rather looter slasher) to the market. Godfall, the highly anticipated PS5 launch title, is now available on the platform and PC via the Epic Games Store. You can find the beautiful launch trailer below.
Godfall takes place in the world of Aperion, a once glorious world that has since turned to ruin and ash. As the last Valorian Knight, warriors with the ability to equip powerful sets of armor, it’s up to you to help return the world to its former glory. Rip through your opponents with beautiful precision as you aim to challenge the evil Macros, across various elemental planes. Godfall promises to offer beauty that makes full use of the PS5 console and high-end PC hardware. From what I’ve seen of trailers and gameplay, I have no doubts that’s true.
