God of War Ragnarok is one of the year’s most anticipated games. We’ve seen a trailer with a lot of rumors and leaks. But there are still many things we don’t know, and most of them wouldn’t appear until the release. That’s the fact, but God of War Ragnarok’s graphics modes are revealed thanks to a leak.

You know about the graphics modes if you have a new generation console. These visual methods select the graphical quality level and the framerate, which are added to the game by developers. They’re essential to set our visual expectations on the consoles. According to the leak, the expectations could be real.

God of War Ragnarok Leak Reveals The Graphics Modes

As we expected, there are two options for playing with a 4K resolution. You can select the native 4K with 30FPS or the dynamic 4K resolution with 60FPS experience. They offer a good experience, but the dynamic resolution is a software-accelerated solution. The native 4K will probably be named Quality Mode, and the dynamic one will be the Performance Mode. You can see the full details here.

Of course, those modes are only available for PlayStation 5. If you plan to play it on PS4, you’ll be restricted to the 1080p 30FPS way. Away PS4 Pro might offer 4K support because it aims to provide a 4K resolution. PS5 and PS4 Pro might offer the exact resolution, but the quality will differ. The new generation’s processing power is way too high compared to PS4. That means PlayStation 5 owners will see much more details.

2018’s God of War is working at 30FPS on all PlayStation consoles. Because the game doesn’t support a new-generation patch, it makes us restricted at the low framerate. The experience isn’t bad, but the new generation can provide even more.

Also, someday, seeing God of War Ragnarok on PC might bring better graphical quality. It’s early to talk about the PC version, but probably we’ll see it in the future because Sony is also focused on the PC releases, which happened for the 2018 game.
