The gear you wear in 2018’s God of War is almost as important as your combat skills, and one of the best sets you can get is from the set of mini-bosses known as the Valkyries. The Armor that comes from these Asgardian defenders provides you with excellent perks and bonuses. With this solid gold armor being so good, players need to know how to get their hands on the whole three-piece set. This guide will explain where to get the full Valkyrie Armor Set in God of War (2018).
How to Get the Valkyrie Armor Set in God of War
To get the full set of Valkyrie armor, you need to defeat three of the Valkyrie optional bosses found across the five Realms that you can travel to in God of War. Many of these Valkyries are locked behind Hidden Chambers of Odin, which can only be opened after you acquire the Magic Chisel from Thamur’s Corpse during aptly named the main story quest “The Magic Chisel.” These specific Valkyries are Valkyrie Olrun, Valkyrie Gondul, and Valkyrie Hildr, who can be found in the Realms of Alfheim, Muspelheim, and Niflheim, respectively. Alfheim is an area you travel to during the main quest, so there is no problem there, but for Muspelheim and Niflheim, you need to collect four Language Ciphers for each Realm to access these optional areas. God of War (2018): All Treasure Map Locations
Once those Ciphers are collected, and you have the Chisel, you can try your hand at fighting these bosses. To find Olrun, travel the Alfeim and use the boat until you reach the large open area of water. Once there, travel down the left coastline until you find a place that you can dock. There is a path nearby that will take you to Valkyrie Olrun’s chamber. Defeating her will grant you the Waistguard of the Valkyrie. For Gondul, you will find a series of Combat trails when you enter Muspelheim that you will need to complete to ascend the fiery mountain. The final trail awaiting you at the top is Gondul, who will drop the Gauntlet of the Valkyrie when defeated. Finally, you will need to make your way to Niflheim to face off against Hildr. Once in the Realm of Ice, you will find Labyrinth clouded in fog. To find the Valkyrie here, simply keep going left. You will need to make your way through some waves of enemies, but keep sticking to the left wall until you reach the leftmost area with no exits.
