With Glitchpunk finally in Early Access, players have ultimate free will to explore the cyberpunk city of New Baltia. With the main narrative, contracts, and mean streets at your disposal, there’s plenty of things to do for the game’s first city. When it comes to doing jobs for the Reapers – one of the gangs in Glitchpunk – you’ll get to see a lot of the city while earning their respect. Once you have it, however, a couple of punks voted against you, and Alice has a problem with that. Here’s how to complete the mission “Love Carries A Gun” in Glitchpunk.
How to Complete Love Carries A Gun in Glitchpunk
NOTE: This guide contains a spoiler in regards to Glitchpunk and the Reapers.
Upon accepting the contract, Alice will task you with gunning down two traitors. Driving up to them and blowing their heads off is easy since you’re probably familiar with the guns by now in the game; that part is rather easy to do. It’s the ambush that you need to worry about. Before you attend your ceremony to become a Reaper, purchase an Aegis item for $800. This will grant total damage immunity for a short period, and it’s vital to your survival. As you approach the ceremony, use your Aegis, for the Reapers have prepared an ambush for you. Simply gun them all down while Alice is having her tantrum, and the mission will be complete.
Since Glitchpunk is in Early Access, some bugs are to be expected. When it comes to encountering the aforesaid ambush, it doesn’t entirely feel properly staged – in regards to code. As you approach the ceremony, four random spawners will immediately gun you down, terminating the contract. The best way past this apparent glitch is to use the Aegis. You’ll be safe from any incoming damage with vehicles being the only exception. But there are no vehicles when the Reapers turn their backs on you, so you can just go in guns blazing.
It’s important to not get killed before Alice starts her rant. While it will briefly pause the action, the number of Reapers will distinguish what route you think is best. But if the gang guns you down before she can commence, you’ll have to start over. Surely, this will be fixed sometime in the upcoming months when the developers work on updates, but using the Aegis is probably your best bet.
Glitchpunk is available now on Early Access for PC via Steam.
