The Pokemon Center’s most recent release is huge, just like the pride of a certain Pokemon. Fans of the show can now have a supersized plush of Dawn’s Piplup. Originally announced in mid-August, The Pokemon Center is now accepting preorders for their new giant Piplup plush.

This news comes before the release of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. These just so happen to also be regions in which Piplup is a starter. The company has been celebrating this release since May of last year.
A Giant Piplup Pokemon Plush
The plush itself is large, with the dimensions coming out to 85 x 50 x 45cm and 4.1Kg. In inches, the dimensions come out to 30 x 20 x 18 inches and a weight of about 9 pounds. In terms of height and weight, this plush comes to over two times the size of the largest Piplup plush sold on the website. It also happens to be larger than the canon size of Piplup.
However, for those that do not want the giant plush to burn a hole in their pocket, there’s is another Piplup available on the website for fifteen dollars. For those that don’t usually pick water types as their starters, there are also Chimchar and Torterra plushes available for purchase, though they aren’t nearly as big. There is no information on the release of a Turtwig soon, though all of the ideas would be a smart release.
In regards to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, it is unclear if Mega Evolutions will make a comeback. If not, because the game takes place during the eight-generation timeframe, there might be an inclusion of Dyna and Gigantamax forms in-game.
The Piplup plush is priced at around 38,500 yen, or about $350. Currently, it can be preordered from the official Pokemon Center website and is expected to ship in April 2022.
