Tango Gameworks, mostly known for their third-person horror game, Evil Within, released their newest game called Ghostwire: Tokyo, which is quite unique and weird in some cases. Unlike their previous games, Ghostwire is a first-person game set in Tokyo, as the name of the game suggests, where the city’s population has vanished, and spirits known as Visitors have invaded the city. The game also has an open-world setting that might lead to the question of how many hours you need to play the game to finish it. Here is how long does it take to beat the Ghostwire: Tokyo.

How Long it Takes to Beat Ghostwire: Tokyo

It has become a trend to add many side activities and collectibles in an open-world game that most of the time feels unnecessary.  This is not the case for Ghostwire. Although some can about the brief story of the game, it manages to have enough material to keep you busy for a few hours in case you are not playing the main missions and still find it enjoyable. In an era where games require hundreds of hours to be completed, games like Ghostwire are a blessing.

If you want to strictly stick to the main story, it takes between ten to fifteen hours to beat Ghostwire: Tokyo. This means not doing pretty much every side mission and ignoring all of the things you can collect. In this case, you are probably going to miss a few good and unique side quests, which are a pleasure to experience and finish.

If you are a completionist that takes the time to finish every side quest, collect everything, and acquire every trophy and achievement, then you need to spend around 30 hours. It might take a longer or even shorter amount of time to fully complete the game, depending on your difficulty level and whether you decide to use guides or not. There is also a New Game Plus mode, although it doesn’t work like other games. You will keep your emotes, camera filters, and music tracks but not the stats, skills, or upgrades.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
