If you’re a fan of cyberpunk games, chances are you’ve run into Ghostrunner. This first-person hack and slash title has been in development for some time, with some serious promise for the full release. There’s a good story with a lot of mystery behind it, and some exciting gameplay to go with it. My playthrough of the original demo was more than proof of that. With that being said, the game was previously only planned for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. As of today though, that changes. One More Level Games is happy to announce that Ghostrunner slices its way onto Nintendo Switch on October 27. You can find the newest trailer for the game below.

Ghostrunner follows the story of Jack, the last of his cybernetic kind. The human race has been brought to near extinction, forcing the last remnants of civilization to take refuge in Dharma Tower. This tower is ruled by a ruthless leader named Mara, seeking to exploit the weak for her and the higher class. As Jack, you must work towards the core of Dharma Tower and put a stop to this madness, otherwise humanity will inevitably cease to exist. Be careful though, as the security of this tower doesn’t take kindly to your plans.

This is big news for fans of Ghostrunner, as the game seems like it’d be a lot of fun for Switch. Landing those specific combos with controllers like the Joycons is going to feel incredibly satisfying, especially if those kinds of frames are kept. We’ll have to wait and see how the release goes later next month. For those who would rather not wait that long, you aren’t completely out of luck. There’ll be a demo available for the PC version starting September 29, featuring polished gameplay, leaderboards, and fresh animations. You can find more details about that here.
