Ghostface is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone.
Not only is Ghostface confirmed, but there are also some pretty highly speculated rumors about a Donnie Darko skin making its way into Call of Duty: Warzone as well. Whether this means it will be the eponymous character or the more logical choice of Frank the Bunny running around Warzone remains to be seen.
There was some heavy speculation about Michael Myers getting into the fray as well considering the new movie Halloween Kills is about to come out and what better way to celebrate a Halloween event than with the man that made the Holliday a terrifying thought in the hearts of many horror movie lovers worldwide.
Last year, The Haunting of Verdansk gave us the long-awaited zombie mode which let you turn into the undead and leap around the map like a superhero as you hunted down your prey, so what special mode might await us this season? Might the aforementioned Michael Myers make an appearance as a randomly appearing boogieman who attacks the players in Verdansk? Freddy Krueger maybe?
You have to imagine the well hasn’t run dry with ideas to make this final season in Verdansk one to remember, so expect everything to be on the table when it comes to surprises this October.
Call of Duty’s developers announced that the official release date for this year’s Halloween event will be October 19th. Although the specifics are yet to be released, it is confirmed that we will again experience several limited-time modes that will appear during the event. Last year, this included a night version of Verdansk, so we can assume something similarly game-changing will appear for the legendary map’s last hurrah in Season 6.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
