In recent update owners of Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint can now invite friends to play regardless of if they have purchased the game or not.
Breakpoint’s new “friend-pass” feature will allow up to three friends who potentially don’t own the game to be invited into the online session of a friend that does. Allowing players unrestricted access to experience the entire story campaign. Yes, that’s the whole game, with nothing more than a single invite from a friend. Jump in quick, however, as this is a limited time offer, which will run from now until June 16th.
Additionally, a free trial is also available for anyone wanting to dive in and test the waters. The trial version allows all players to experience up to 6 hours of unrestricted playtime. Thankfully Ubisoft has announced, players who take advantage of the trial will see their trial time paused while using the friend-pass system. With all saved progress to be carried over should you decide to purchase the full game. To take advantage of either the free trial or the friend-pass, players must download the trial version of the game via Uplay, PSN, or Xbox Live.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is an open-world action looter shooter that sees players take down hordes of enemies either alone or in 4 player co-op. The friend pass feature has been made available just days after the release of the games campaign expansion Episode Two: Deep State. The new Splinter Cell themed expansion adds two new classes, a 7+ hour storyline, and eight new missions.
Ubisoft is tempting players into the open-world action combat of Ghost Recon in all the right ways. If your index finger is already twitching in anticipation, then click here to get started on the PC download. Alternatively, you can check out the Ubisoft blog post here for more information.
