Ubisoft has received backlash ever since Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s initial release. Many fans say that the title has been disappointing in terms of gameplay, to say the least. However, it’s not all doom and gloom. Since Ubisoft has released an update to hopefully fix the issues at hand!
Announced today in a trailer (which you can also find above), the AI Teammate Experience update addresses an AI overhaul within this Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint update. Now players can enjoy a better perspective, releasing alongside title update 4.0.0. The main objective of the AI Teammate Experience will allow more customization in regards to your squadmates.
Teammate customization comes in the form of an all-new progression loop, being the main factor that will allow the player to upgrade their teammates. In addition, unique rewards throughout the progression system are obtainable through leveling. As well as unlockable challenges that speed the process up entirely.
Likewise, the Ghost Recon Breakpoint update entices you within some ‘Mass Effect‘ style squad building, with the option of romance being excluded of course. However, the teammate overhaul highlights progression with an XP bar. Also known as Team XP, this will allow you to level up your teammates in order to unlock unique upgrades for each. In order for upgrades to be applied, you’ll need to navigate a new and useful menu dedicated to building your desired team. With a vast amount of upgrades available, you can pick and choose those much-appealing upgrades. And with a total of 14 upgrades overall, you can succumb to your squadmate’s needs.
Here are the main upgrades that you can expect in the Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Teammate Experience:
- Two Active Abilities shared across teammates including Extra Revival and Fragmentation Grenades
- Three Active Abilities unique to each teammate including Piercing Shot, Scan and Combat Drone
- Nine Passive Abilities for increased damage or resilience
