Like every modern game, Ghost Recon Breakpoint features a variety of microtransactions you can choose from to purchase premium currency. The premium currency is called Ghost Coins, and you can grab these to purchase in-game cosmetic items and weapon skins. It’s important to note none of the microtransactions you can buy is going to modify your PvP experience in Ghost War. You can purchase items to make getting certain upgrades or weapon blueprints much faster.
Microtransactions in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
You can purchase the premium currency in Ghost Recon Breakpoint from inside the Uplay store or the game itself. You can find the store icon in the game from the small box with a plus sign in front of it. Here’s the break down of how much you’re going to spend for each amount of Ghost Coins:
- 600 Ghost Coins – $4.99
- 1,300 Ghost Coins – $9.99
- 2,800 Ghost Coins – $19.99
- 5,800 Ghost Coins – $39.99
- 12,000 Ghost Coins – $79.99
These Ghost Coins are going to serve for you to purchase customization items in the game from the store. However, there are small items you can purchase to serve as time savers. These time savers are located in the third to the final slot, on the right side of the store. You can choose to purchase any of the gun upgrades or crafting materials bundles. These are all items and things you can earn in the main game, but if you’d rather have immediate access to them, you can buy these. The weapon upgrades cost 240 Ghost Coins along with the standard crafting materials bundle, and the large crafting materials bundle costs 600 Ghost Coins.
The same goes for weapon blueprints. Rather than completing missions in the game or going through the campaign, you can choose to purchase the blueprints outright and get access to them immediately. Because the online portion of the game does not count a character’s Gear Level during the match, players are going to need to rely on skill to win the day.
You can choose to buy these microtransactions at any time during your experience in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
