Survival is something you have to think about critically whenever you’re running around in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. You’re not only trying to survive the endless onslaught of enemies in the game, but you have to keep your body in check. A critical thing you can do to help battle fatigue is by drinking water. It’s a straightforward task. However, the game doesn’t cover it too well. You might find yourself getting more tired and unable to do things before it talks to you about this survival technique.

How to Drink and Refill Your Canteen in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

The first thing you’re going to need to drink any water is to equip your canteen to your quick item access menu. To do this, you need to open up your main menu and pull it up on the lower half of the six slots. If one of the bottom slots are open, you can freely place it into the slot. However, if you have an item in the slot, you need to take it out and exchange it with the canteen.

When you have it equipped, switch to it in the quick item access menu and click “G,” or whichever button it is for your respective console. It’s going to take your character a few seconds to perform the animation, but when they finish it, they should have no more fatigue on their stamina bar.

You only get a handful of uses for the item. When you run out, you need to locate a freshwater stream to refill it. You’re going to need to find one that’s not inside of a swamp or near the ocean. You’re going to want to find one nearby a mountain. When you approach the water, you can stand in it and, if you have your canteen in your quick access menu, you can freely refill your item and have all of your uses returned to you. Eventually, you can gain a water filter to grab water from a swamp or a saltwater source and treat it like a freshwater stream.
