The fastest-selling new PlayStation IP is receiving the first content update since it’s launch this past July. Sucker Punch Productions’ very own Ghost of Tsushima has come a long way these past 3 months. Selling 2.4 million units in the first 3 days and joining the chain of PS4 exclusives to be a part of the fastest-growing titles on the platform. After much fan discussion of the future of the franchise, Sucker Punch has been cooking up the first of their free additions to the game with new game plus and the Legends mode. Ghost of Tsushima 1.1 is sure to breathe new life and bring new fans to the historical samurai slasher of this generation.

What’s Coming to Ghost of Tsushima’s Single-Player?

Ghost of Tsushima has been receiving quite a lot of support since its initial release to the public. Many fresh additions and fixes to single-player have been necessary, and the 1.1 update seems to include many. You can enjoy a new merchant type and armor loadouts amongst the new game plus addition. This also allows players to choose from differing save games to pick what game mode you want to play. With that comes new achievements to unlock in a second playthrough. Keeping all the techniques, equipment, and customizable vanity items, players can re-experience Jin’s journey all over again with added flair and power. The major attraction however comes in the form of the co-op mode being added to Ghost of Tsushima.

The aforementioned multiplayer aspect to the update brings the new mode, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Players control four distinct classes that all have new gear and unlockable cosmetics to collect from playing the two to four-player missions. The integrated raids as well will further add to the game’s overall re-playability and longevity. With new combat mechanics and combat areas and environments, Legends mode is a worthy addition to the addicting combat. The new mode sets to launch later this month on October 16th, with the added raids coming soon after launch.
