It’s also worth mentioning that the new Ghost of Tsushima mode, ‘Rivals’, will be coming out tomorrow, September 3. At the same time, Sucker Punch is releasing a standalone version of Legends – for those that do not own the base game but still wish to experience its multiplayer aspects.

Rivals will allow two teams of two to compete in defeating waves of incoming enemies. Every time an enemy is slain, players will collect Magatama – used to gain an edge over the enemy team. Once a team has used up enough Magatama, they will unlock Final Stand waves: finishing those will grant victory.

Sucker Punch then intends to add more content every week, from September 10 all the way ’til October 1. Each content update will have some interesting features, including Survival maps, Trials of Iyo, and a new Raid difficulty. Naturally, players that possess either the standard version or the Director’s Cut on PS5, will be able to experience the updates.

Ghost of Tsushima and update 2.08 patch notes are available now on PS4 and PS5. For more information regarding Ghost of Tsushima update 2.08, check out Sucker Punch’s Twitter.
