World War Z, the co-op third-person zombie shooter from Saber Interactive, is free to keep on PC. You can hop onto the Epic Games Store and claim the game until April 2nd, and you’ll keep it forever. The title joins Figment and Tormentor x Punisher as the free lineup this week. Along with this free offer, World War Z is 75% off on Xbox One starting today until March 30th. This is the prime time to start playing World War Z, especially for PC players.

For those that get it on PC or Xbox and have friends on the other platform, no need to worry. As of today, there is crossplay available for both platforms. This crossplay is available for the PvE missions along with the wave-based Horde Mode Z. Unfortunately, this update didn’t include PS4 players, but that is promised to come at a later date. We’ll be sure to keep you posted once that update releases. That’s not all in today’s update, though. It also included new weapon variants, weapon, and perk rebalancing, and some new character skins. You can read more details regarding these changes here.

If you’re going to jump in and check out World War Z, be sure to let us know what you think of it. If you haven’t seen it though, it’s quite a lot of fun. You team up with up to three other friends to take on thousands of zombies rushing at you. The game offers many fun story missions in the form of campaigns, having you follow different survivor groups on their quest for safety. If that isn’t your style, though, there’s also a wave-based mode having you defend against increasingly difficult waves of enemies. This game is perfect for playing with a few friends and is one we can recommend.
