During the Event Quest “Like Rhyme and Song, the Summer Reverie” in Summertime Odyssey of Genshin Impact, the Traveler is tasked with finding three missing Crystalline Cores, one of the core components required for activating a mysterious Fatui machine in the Golden Apple Archipelago. According to the manuscript written by Fatui Researcher Persikov, this machine can be restarted if these Crystalline Cores are retrieved and inserted back into the device. Accordingly, to progress “Like Rhyme and Song, the Summer Reverie” and continue the Summertime Odyssey in Genshin Impact, the Travelers must locate and collect these missing Crystalline Cores.

Finding The Missing Crystalline Cores In Genshin Impact

The three missing Crystalline Cores in Genshin Impact can be found on three separate islands. The first is located on the small islet with the Waverider Waypoint, west of Twinning Isle. The second core is on the central round island, east of Broken Isle. The third and final Crystalline Core must be retrieved from the islet north of Pudding Isle.

While the locations of every missing Crystalline Core in Genshin Impact can be seen on the map, acquiring each one can be a somewhat tricky process. The quest items are locked within a structure that requires the player to turn the cogs in a specific order to release the core. As mentioned above, the solutions to each puzzle can be found within Persikov’s manuscript; however, most players might prefer to skip reading the text and solve the puzzle straight away to progress the story. Therefore, below are the solutions for each missing Crystalline Core puzzle in Genshin Impact:

Crystalline Core Puzzle 1

  • Step 1: Turn the western device: Right – Left – Left
  • Step 2: Turn the eastern device: Right – Right Left

Crystalline Core Puzzle 2

  • Step 1: Turn the device near the small spiked barricade: Left – Left – Right
  • Step 2: Turn the device near the first tent on the right: Right – Left – Right
  • Step 3: Turn the device near the tent by cogs leading to the Crystalline Core: Left – Left – Right – Right – Right – Left

Crystalline Core Puzzle 3

  • Step 1: Turn the southern device: Right – Left – Right
  • Step 2: Turn the northern device: Left – Left – Right

After collecting all the missing Crystalline Cores, return to the Fatui machine and place the quest items into the device. Once this process has been completed, a cutscene will play, indicating that the objective has been successfully fulfilled.
