The Genshin Impact Misty Dungeon: Realm of Sand event runs from December 9, 2022, to December 19, 2022, and is open to all players Adventure Rank 20 and above. In this event, you can complete seven combat challenges that unlock throughout the event period.

How to complete the Misty Dungeon: Realm of Sand event in Genshin Impact

Head to the event menu to access the Misty Dungeon: Realm of Sand. Choose any of the Trials to begin.

Each Trial consists of different opponents and map layouts. Make sure to check them beforehand by clicking on the Check Map button on the top of the screen, and the information button beside the opponents’ section to pick the right team. The Trial Quest also indicates what you need to do to get the rewards. Once you’re ready, click Go to Challenge.

Next, you need to set up your party. The game provides you with a list of trial characters, which differ for each challenge. All trial characters come with preset Constellations, Artifacts, and weapons. If you prefer to use your own, switch to the My Characters tab.

However, you can only use characters from the trial assortment. For example, if Wanderer is a trial character, you can use your own Wanderer instead. Meanwhile, you can’t use your own Bennett if he isn’t also in the trial characters assortment. Click Start to begin the challenge.

Once you’ve started the Trial, you can click on the U button to open up the map. Your goal is to head to all the areas marked by a triangle, which are runes. Interact with the runes to spawn enemies, and defeat them to complete the challenge. The areas marked with a sword are optional challenges. Completing them will heal and revive party members, strengthening Ley Line Disorder.

Once you’re done with all the challenges, interact with the ruins control array, which is the yellow monument pictured above. It will prompt an elevator to open. Step on the elevator to enter another room containing the final challenge. Complete it to finish the Trial and claim rewards from the event menu.
