Yes, you can easily switch between rain and sunlight. That’s what this guide is about. It will teach you how to change the weather in Apam Woods.
Genshin Impact: How to change the weather in Apam Woods
For you to change the weather, you must first unlock an Aranara song called the Rythm of the Water Source, which requires completing the Varuna Gatha World Questline, which ends when you kill the Disturbed Fungus. Finishing this questline will grant you the Varuna Contraption, which controls the rain in Apam Woods.
There are two ways of acquiring the Varuna Contraption. The first requires going to the place marked on the map below:
The second method involves heading to the end of the rain via the teleport shown in the image below
To stop the rain, stand in front of the Varuna Contraption (there are three options depending on the weather). Equip the Vintage Lyre to activate it and play the rhythm of the Water Source song (fa > mi > ti > fa > ti ). Once the song registers, you can interact with the Varuna Contraption to change the weather as you please. The weather has three basic states:
- Rainy
- Sunny
- Circulate
The Varuna Contraption has three appearances depending on the weather of the day. When it is rainy, it will appear bluish. When it is sunny, it will have an orange tinge, and when it’s a mixture of the two, it will combine both colors. Changing the weather for the first time will unlock a Wonders of the World Achievement called Weather Control Activated.
