A new “Wish Upon a Lantern” Event has been added to Genshin Impact for players to enjoy and earn more rewards. Similar to the “Slime Paradise” event, this is also a browser event, and players can participate in it even without playing the actual game. The rewards are some of the best we have seen in recent times as there are one billion Primogems at stake!

How To Participate in Wish Upon A Lantern Event

As soon as you open the game, there will be a notification tab where you can check the message regarding Wish Upon a Lantern event. Upon clicking on the link provided in the message, you’ll be directed to the Genshin Impact’s Wish Upon A Lantern page on your browser.

The page will start with displaying your adventure in Genshin Impact so far. The characters shown are in their chibi version, making them extremely small in size. Then 5 lanterns will appear on the screen, and you have to release them by clicking on the “Release Lantern” option. Keep in mind, you only have one free attempt, to begin with, which only allows releasing one lantern. The release of the lantern is random, so you can get duplicate results. Those who are able to successfully release all 5 lanterns will get a random amount of Primogems out of the overall 1 Billion.

To earn more attempts, simply complete daily tasks that are displayed on the page. These quests refresh daily, so make sure to check every day. Apart from that, you also get additional attempts for retweeting the event and logging in each day. You’ll even get a random amount of ores and Mora each time you release a lantern, and you can avail it from the mailbox. Players have to be a minimum of level 10 to participate in the event, and the results will be announced after the event ends.
