How to Play With Your Friends in Genshin Impact
First of all, you’re going to need to Adventure Rank 16. Any friends you do invite after you have achieved this rank also need to be Adventure Rank 16. Once you have that, open the main menu, select Friends, and there you’ll be able to invite any friends that are online. If you need to add your friends to your account, you simply need to input their UID Number. The UID Number is a nine-digit code that is located underneath your character portrait in the main menu.
Now, it’s important that you don’t get Adventure Rank confused with your Character Level. In Genshin Impact, though you can increase your Character Level by using consumable items, your Adventure Rank is increased by playing through the game. You should be able to increase it easily by completing quests from the main storyline as well as NPC quests. You can also increase it by completing daily events, conquering the Abyssal Domains, It should also be said that your Adventure Rank is connected to your account whereas your Character Level is tied to that character.
Unfortunately, there are a few restrictions on playing with your friends. You may only play with three at a time, and again, they have to all be Adventure Rank 16. If you only invite two friends, your friends have control over one character while you can switch control between two characters.
While playing with friends, you also won’t be able to progress the Archon Quests, the main storyline. Be sure to keep that in mind if you wanted to do a story binge in Genshin Impact that day. Also, your friends won’t be able to loot chests, make offerings to Statues of the Seven, or collect key items while in your world. However, Genshin Impact does support cross-platform play between PS4, iOS, Android, and PC, so, you’re not limited by who you can play with.
