Genshin Impact has several currencies for players to grind for and stress about. But perhaps the most important currency of them all is Original Resin. Original Resin is how players interact with Ley Line Blossoms and other challenge awards. It’s just too bad this currency can disappear rather quickly when playing. This is where Genshin Impact’s Fragile Resin comes into play.

One Fragile Resin has the ability to instantly restore 60 Original Resin. This might not seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things, but that amount of Resin is equivalent to four Ley Line Blossoms and even one weekly boss. However, as with all good things, Fragile Resin is not something easily found. So, here are all the ways to obtain Fragile Resin in Genshin Impact.

How to Get Fragile Resin

As of January 2021, there are only three known ways to get Fragile Resin. The first way is one that all of you are familiar with: leveling up. You will need to level your Adventure rank and at certain ranks, they’ll get a Fragile Resin as a reward. More specifically at levels 12, 14, 16, 18, 20-24, 26, and 28, you will receive one Fragile Resin. At levels 25, 27, 29-49, you will get two.

Then you have the option of eating the Cake of the Traveler. This method isn’t great because you will only get one Fragile Resin…once a year. This method is a way to celebrate the Traveler’s birthday rather than an actual method of getting any Resin.

For those who aren’t willing to wait a year or grind it out, there is the option of the Wayfarer’s Supply Bundle. This is essentially a microtransaction that you can participate in once a week. It’s available at the price of 980 Genesis Crystals or $14.99.

We recommend you stash your resin until you are at least level 30. Fragile Resin is invaluable in the later levels of the game as it helps reduce the grind for those looking to level their Adventure Rank. There’s also the matter of some decent loot. It would be such a shame to put your all into fighting a difficult boss but then not have enough Original Resin to collect the bounty.
