The enigmatic Fatui executives, Eleven Fatui Harbingers, represent the current enemies in the Genshin Impact universe. Based in the snowy region of Snezhnaya, most of the Eleven Harbingers are both prominent members of Snezhnayan society with access to virtually endless wealth and the limitless power of Delusions granted by the Royal Highness Tsaritsa. This Genshin Impact article will reveal all that has been said thus far regarding one of them, Il Capitano (The Captain), the masked Fatui Harbinger.

Genshin Impact – Who is Capitano?

Il Capitano, or The Captain is one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, but like his face that’s hidden behind a mysterious helmet, his rank in the group is not yet known. Based on Childe’s Friendship Level 4 dialogue, Il Capitano is an extremely strong and skillful individual. That outstanding combat skills seem to make Capitano think less of Childe’s own prowess, but one day, he wants to make Capitano recognize his abilities.

It’s interesting to note that he calls Signora by her last name, Lohefalter. Meanwhile, Arlecchino just calls her Rosalyne, and Capitano refers to the other Harbingers by their titles. It can imply that he accords Signora with a certain level of respect.

Capitano Lore in Genshin Impact So Far

Like Damselette, there is very little information known about Capitano in Genshin Impact aside from bits and pieces of in-game dialogues. As mentioned before, Childe himself has seen how powerful Capitano is in battle. And in the “Tales of Winter” Daily Commission, Viktor said that if he’s able to choose, he’d rather serve under Il Capitano out of all the Eleven Harbingers.

Is Capitano Going to be Playable?

Despite being the villain, miHoYo seems to be planning for the Eleven Fatui Harbingers to be playable characters. At least six of them, including Columbina, will be playable in the future, according to leaker SpendYourPrimos.

However, SpendYourPrimos also reminds the fanbase to keep in mind that the Fatui Harbingers are part of a “5-6 year roadmap” plan. So it probably takes a (very) long time until we see some of them in a banner, and we might only start seeing them somewhere in the late 3.0 or early 4.0 Genshin Impact update.

Capitano Voice Actor and Trivias

The official Japanese Genshin Impact Twitter account has officially revealed that Il Capitano (mentioned as 隊長 or taichou in the tweet, literally translated as Captain from Japanese) is going to be voiced by Ken Narita (成田剣). He has voiced various anime and game characters, including but not limited to:

  • Ryuuken Ishida (Bleach)
  • Bright Noa (Gundam series since 2011)
  • Sesshomaru (InuYasha)
  • Vashyron (Resonance of Fate)
  • Michael Roa Valdamjong (Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code)

In the Italian theater commedia dell’arte, Capitano is a very opportunistic braggart. This role often boasts about made-up conquests to impress others as long as no one knows the truth. They will also be the first to run away from any sign of conflict and switch to the winning side if the opportunity arises.

Genshin Impact is available on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 platforms.
