Genshin Impact‘s Summertime Odyssey event introduces the “Blazin’ Trails” questline, where you’ll learn more about Xinyan while traveling around the Golden Apple Archipelago‘s Broken Isle. If you’re having trouble completing the puzzle-filled “Blazin’ Trails” quest. Hopefully, this Genshin Impact guide will help you finish this questline.
“Blazin’ Trails” Part I Puzzle Guide – Genshin Impact

To start the Quest, you need to rest until 06:00 – 24:00. Of course, you can just change the in-game date to 06:00 – 24:00 Tomorrow to make things go quicker.
Talk with Xinyan and all the others, then head to or teleport to Broken Isle.
Go near the Drum in Broken Isle to be transported to Xinyan’s Domain.
Interact with the Drum (Hit) to spawn platforms. Jump on them until you reach the next island.
After landing on the island, there are Melodic Harp and Bloom puzzles to be solved.
Once you get to the next island, you will need to solve Melodic Harp and Bloom puzzles. You have to adjust the Blooms’ orientation so that the Note from the Harp will reach the largest Bloom. Once done, it will create an air current to carry you to the next island. To do this, simply turn the west Bloom, so it faces the Largest Bloom.
Hop on to the air current and glide to the next island to trigger a cutscene.
Without going back or skipping panels, step on all of the Melodic Pedals to unlock the Melodic Harp.
First, turn the north Melodic Bloom to the Treasure Chest position, then Perform the Harp to unlock the Chest. Afterward, just adjust the Bloom again so that it faces east.
Ride the air current and enter the door.
After you step outside back to Broken Isle, head south, following the stream of water until you see a rock.
Use any attacks to destroy that rock pile that’s blocking the stream; using Geo or Claymore characters is more effective.
Follow the water stream again until your path is blocked and you see a Harp nearby.
Adjust the southeastern Bloom (the second one from the Harp) so that it faces east. Interact with the Harp to open the blocked path.
Head inside and destroy another rock that’s blocking the water.
A cutscene will play. Keep following the stream, and you’ll climb the mountain by walking on the big roots.
There’s another puzzle on the top of the mountain. All you need to do is adjust the Bloom closest to the Note so that it faces the Note, then Perform the Harp. The note should be free now, and there should be a glowing light in the small pond in front of you. Interact with it to obtain the Glacial Spring Water and start a cutscene.
“Blazin’ Trails” Part II Puzzle Guide – Genshin Impact
Go back to Xinyan’s Domain and give the Blazing Heart Flower the Glacial Spring Water for a cutscene.
From the Blazing Heart Flower, Turn right and enter the Hall of Music. Keep walking, going through the areas, and interacting with the screens on your path.
You’ll need to help Little Fei find his friends. Little Meng is on the left side of the docks while Little Lulu is on the right side; just follow the objectives.
Perform the Harp to open the wall. Enter Xinyan’s house.
“Blazin’ Trails” Part III Puzzle Guide – Genshin Impact
Now we’re back in Broken Isle, and there are two water veins to follow. Follow the Steps 2-4 for Path 1 and 5-8 for Path 2.
Follow the Path 1 vein; you should eventually find a Melodic Harp puzzle near Hilichurls. Clear out the enemies around so that they don’t disturb the puzzle.
Simply adjust the Bloom closest to the Harp and the one near the rooted Note.
Afterward, keep following the water stream, climbing up the stairs past the Hillichurls, until you get to the top of the mountain and see a rock blocking the stream. Just like before, destroy the rock to clear the path for the water. One water vein should be free now.
Now, for Path 2, follow the trail until you find roots with a G-clef on it and a Melodic Harp puzzle.
Adjust the closest Bloom from the Harp so that it faces the Harp/second Bloom. Interact with the Harp.
After the huge root blocking your way has been destroyed by the note, head inside and adjust the last Bloom so that it faces the opposite side to the tangled Note. Interact with the Harp once again to open the path.
Keep following the water stream, climbing up the mountain, until you see a rock blocking the stream. Just like before, destroy the rock to clear the path for the water. Now two veins are free.
Head back to the Drum, where you start the “Blazin’ Trails” puzzle questline. You’ll enter Xinyan’s Domain again and talk to the Blazing Heart Flower.
There should be a Melodic Harp near Blazing Heart; interact with it. Glide up onto the wind current.
Hit the Drum to create a path toward a Cryo Flower, the Frozen Soul. After a cutscene, you’ll be back on the Broken Isle.
Go to the marked area, then plant Frozen Soul’s Petal.
Head back to the Drum, and when you interact with it, pick the Change Mountain Style option.
We need to free two water veins in Broken Isle again. For Path 1, follow Steps 16-18, and for Path 2, it’s Steps 19-21.
In Path 1, follow the water trail to the west until you find a pointy rock near a four-leaf clover pinwheel. As usual, destroy it.
Attack the four-leaf clover pinwheel using an Anemo attack, a wind current will appear, and you can just ride it.
On top of the mountain, destroy the rock blocking the water vein.
For Path 2, head south until you find a Melodic Harp and Melodic Pedal puzzle. Unlock the Harp by stepping on all of the Melodic Pedals without going back or skipping panels.
Once unlocked, interact with the Harp to clear the roots, then adjust the Bloom just beside the cleared roots to face upward. Perform on the Harp again to create a wind current.
Glide up, follow the stream, and destroy rock.
Head back to the Drum and enter Xinyan’s Domain.
After a cutscene, go straight to the marked area on the Broken Isle for the final cutscene.
Follow the marked waypoint to reach the Fatui encampment, and check the Fatui machine. Afterward, follow the marker again to meet with Fischl and Oz. And that’s it; you finally completed the “Blazin’ Trails” puzzles and questlines in Genshin Impact.
