Genshin Impact 2.3 Release Date

Genshin Impact’s Version 2.3 update is scheduled for Nov. 24, 2021. This is subject to change but falls in line with the game’s attempt to roll out a consistent six-week update period.

This is our tentative road map of when the updates should be released. Anything after Update 2.3 is purely guesswork based on the game’s six-week update schedule so far, as miHoYo has not released another roadmap.

Leaks

New Characters

Genshin Impact has confirmed through its official channels that two new characters will appear in Version 2.3.

Arataki Itto—Five-Star Geo Claymore

If you want him as your tank, why not get ready for Arataki Itto’s best build?

Gorou—Four-Star Geo Bow

For all character information such as Gorou Skills, Constellations, and Ascension Materials, we’ve got you covered.

If you want him why not get ready and have a look at a Gorou best build.

These two additions are expected to drop during the second banner on Dec. 14, 2021. They’ll bring in a new Defense meta and plenty of possibilities for full Geo team comps. Currently, there’s no information on the first banner that will be released on Nov. 24, 2021, but speculations hint at a possible Albedo rerun due to his relevance in the 2.3 Events.

New Weapons

The leak mentions two new weapons for Version 2.3:

Redhorn Stonrthresher (Claymore)

  • Base Attack: 46Secondary Stat: 14.4 percent Crit DamagePassive Ability: +20 percent Defense. Normal and Charged Attacks increase by 28 percent of the wielder’s Defense. How to Obtain: Limited Weapon Banner

New Artifacts

As these Artifacts can’t be farmed in the current in-game Domains, per the leak, players can anticipate a new Domain to arrive in Version 2.3 as well.

Divine Chorus

  • 2-piece: +15 percent Healing Bonus4-piece: Healing effects generate a Healing Bubble (HB) once every 3.5 seconds. It will accumulate Stacked Healing (SH) as characters get healed. The HB bursts after three seconds, healing all nearby characters by 50 percent of SH (with a max healing value of 30,000) and dealing damage to nearby enemies by 90 percent of SH simultaneously.

Husk of Opulent Dreams

  • +30 percent Defense +6 percent Defense and +6 percent Geo Damage for on-field Geo characters. This stacks once every 0.3 seconds with a maximum of four stacks. When off-field, the set grants one stack every three seconds. And when not in use, one stack disappears every six seconds.

New Enemies

Version 2.3 will bring in a new array of challenges. In particular, the update will expand on Version 2.1 and 2.2’s Corrosion debuff, heightening the need for healers in team comps.

Golden Wolflord—World Boss

The Golden Wolflord takes the form of a giant, flying Rifthound, which means that players must use ranged DPS characters to defeat the boss. It drops the Rifthorn Regalia, which a leak describes as one of Aragaki Itto’s Ascension materials.

New Pet

A new pet ninken (ninja dog) will be rewarded to players through the event called Hachi. There’s currently no information about whether or not it will explore Teyvat with the player or stay in the Serenitea Pot.

New Furniture

The Leisurely Device: Rhythmic Sprinter will allow players to play through custom parkour trials with friends in their Serenitea Pot! A leaderboard is accessible for you to keep track of wins and losses.

New Hangouts

Gorou and Beidou’s Hangout events are expected to be released with the new Version, but the content of the stories is still unknown.

New Events

The most exciting part about any update is arguably the event list, which will determine the content that keeps players busy for the next month.

Dust and Shadowed Snow

This exciting event is the second part of Albedo’s story quest from Version 1.2, Chalk Prince and the Dragon. It will bring players back to Dragonspine, where they can participate in a series of battle and training instances. Plus, there’s a new Snowman-building function.

Each Snowman consists of eight different parts that players can trade among friends. Players must build a Snowman to obtain the free four-star weapon, Cinnabar Spindle.

Hachi

Hachi is an event that will introduce a new in-game mechanic. Using the Omni-Ubiquity Net, players can catch creatures in the overworld that can live in the Serenitea Pot.

Misty Dungeon: Realm of Light

The Misty Dungeon, which first ran in Version 1.5, is expected to get a rerun in Version 2.3. There are seven trials that a predetermined roster of characters can complete. They won’t benefit from Elemental Resonance within the event stages, and their Constellations will be based on the player’s existing characters. But players can still use characters they don’t own in the event trials.

Golden Wolflord Event

While there are no clear details concerning this event, it’s most likely an introduction to the new Golden Wolflord World Boss—much like Azhdaha and the Thunder Manifestation’s release in previous Versions.
