Gears Tactics will release on Apr. 28, putting a new spin on the Gears universe that gamers have grown to know and love over the years. Gears Tactics is trading in the third person action for isometric, tactical gameplay akin to the XCOM series. It’s more than a simple clone, though, as the game possesses some interesting mechanics to make it feel more like Gears.

If you are wondering if you can run the game, then the minimum and recommended specs are below. While the game looks amazing in various videos and screenshots released by developers Splash Damage and The Coalition, it does seem to be nicely scalable for people who don’t have the most powerful PCs, so we expect to see a reasonably robust graphics menu when the game launches.

Minimum

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating systemOS: Windows 10 64-bitProcessor: Intel i3 Skylake | AMD FX-6000Memory: 8 GB RAMGraphics: AMD Radeon R7 260X | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 TiDirectX: Version 12Network: Broadband Internet connectionStorage: 45 GB available spaceSound Card: DirectX compatible
  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating systemOS: Windows 10 64-bitProcessor: Intel i5 Coffee Lake | AMD Ryzen 3Memory: 8 GB RAMGraphics: AMD Radeon RX 570 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970DirectX: Version 12Network: Broadband Internet connectionStorage: 45 GB available spaceSound Card: DirectX compatible

The minimum specs come in well below the average user’s system on Steam when compared to the Steam Hardware Survey. We would hazard a guess that the minimum specs will be well within reach for just about every PC connected to Steam, and even the recommended RX 570 and GTX 970 are a few years old this point. Most gamers will be more than able to run the game at maximum settings and get solid frames.
