The Gears of War logo flashed up on the screen and fans were ready to continue an adventure in a brand-new Gears game. After introducing us to two mobile games, Gears Pop, and Gears Tactics, Gears of War 5 was finally revealed.
For fans of the Gears of War series, this was a big announcement. Just like past Gears of War titles, you’re fighting a familiar foe as you play through the continuance of the events of Gears of War 4.

Instead of playing a big, burly killing machine, you play as Kait. I see this as a welcoming addition to the Gears series as it provides some nice variety with a female lead. While only a little bit of the story was revealed, it will have classic third person shooting gameplay like every Gears of War game.
You’ll still be able to play solo or with a friend in local split screen, coop, or online coop. No release date has been announced, but will be released in 2019. Gears of War 5 will be available on Xbox One and PC.
