Gangsta Boo, born Lola Mitchell, was one of the six members of the Three 6 Mafia. The American hip-hop group from Memphis, Tennessee, was formed in 1991, but their break came with their 1995 debut album Mystic Stylez.
Gangsta Boo was the second female member of the group after K-9 and sang vocals. Her death was confirmed by label-mate DJ Paul K.O.M., who posted a photo of her deejaying in tribute.

Gangsta Boo Was A Renowned Rapper
Gangsta Boo of Three 6 Mafia fame released various solo albums in addition to appearing on the group’s first five studio releases. Lola, popularly referred to as “The Queen,” joined Three 6 Mafia in the 1990s but left in the early 2000s.
Afterward, she focused on her solo career and launched another solo album and numerous mixtapes. She was also featured on songs from famous rappers, including Gucci Mane, OutKast, The Game, and more.
More recently, Gangsta Boo began working with music outlets like Uproxx to create new music and performances. In early December, she shared a video of her live performance of I’m Fresh in partnership with the publication. The late rapper wrote that she had fun recording the live session and acknowledged the crew for the production.
On December 28, the renowned performer posted a goofy photo with her friend MJG, writing, “MJG over my erratic behavior 😅 #pressure.”
