Games With Gold For October 2020 Lineup Revealed The Nerd Stash

We all know that 2020 has been a wild but scary year. Over the years, October has been a time for Halloween enthusiasts to celebrate all month long; this year is no different. You can buy a 12-foot skeleton at the Home Depot for $300 to celebrate. Over the last week, many wondered when Microsoft would announce their spooky October 2020 Games with Gold lineup. Instead, before the Xbox Series X preorder date, Microsoft announced their planned acquisition of ZeniMax for $7.5 billion. This acquisition means that Bethesda will be part of the Xbox family.

As this last week passed, many started to speculate that a newly acquired Bethesda title would be one of the October 2020 Games with Gold titles. Instead, Doom Eternal was announced for Xbox Game Pass. With two days left until October, Xbox left the Gold community in anticipation. Join in the festive preparation and celebration, as Microsoft has finally announced a spooky line-up for the October 2020 Games with Gold.  In October, Xbox Live Gold members will have access to Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, Maid of Sker, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, and Costume Quest.

Available Dates for Games with Gold

For this month’s Games with Gold, Xbox Live Gold members can download Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut and Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy starting October 1. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy ($14.99 ERP) is available from October 1 to 15 on Xbox One & Xbox 360. Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut ($16.99 ERP) is free from October 1 to 31 on the Xbox One. Starting on October 16, Gold members can download Maid of Sker and Costume Quest. Maid of Sker ($24.99 ERP) is free from October 16 until November 15 on Xbox One. Finally, Costume Quest ($14.99 ERP) is free from October 16 to 31 on Xbox One & Xbox 360.

Remember, you have until October 1st to redeem September’s Games with Gold offers of The Division and Armed and Dangerous. You have until October 15 to redeem The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. You must be an active Xbox Live Gold member or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member to redeem the October 2020 Games with Gold offer.
