The Game Critics Awards have announced their Best of E3 2017 nominations, based on the votes of 38 publications of the videogame industry. Three games seem to have impressed the most to critics, with Mario + Rabbids Battle Kingdom, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus being up for four awards each. Other titles like Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Destiny 2, and Super Mario Odyssey follow them with three nominations.

There is one publisher this year that has made the strongest impression, and it is Ubisoft, which leads the publishers rank with a stunning 14 nominations, up 11 from last year. Sony Interactive Entertainment follows with 7 nominations, with Bethesda being up for 6 awards.

PC and PS4 lead the platform rank with 49 nominations each, followed by Xbox One with 44, and Nintendo Switch with 17.

If you are missing some of your favourite games from the lists, be aware that the Game Critics Awards only nominate titles that were available to be played for at least 5 minutes. This rule caused some notable absences, like Anthem, God of War, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Metro Exodus, Monster Hunter World, NBA Live 18, Ori and the Will of Wisps, Marvel’s Spider-Man, The Evil Within 2, or Uncharted: Lost Legacy.
