It’s that time, again. Another Mystery Gift in Pokémon Sword and Shield. This time around, Game Freak is giving players the Steel-type Pokémon Galarian Meowth. This particular event goes live on Friday, June 12th. But, Galarian Meowth isn’t the grand prize of the giveaway. Not at all. Alongside the Galar region’s Meowth, players will also receive an absurd lump sum of 100 Large EXP Candies and 50 Big Nuggets.

That’s a million Pokémon dollars and a million EXP points to use however you’d like. Meowth and the packaged bundle of items cap off a phenomenal few weeks of Mystery Gifts. Truthfully, Pokémon have been quite spoiled as of late.

So Many Mystery Gifts, So Many Reasons To Keep Playing

From May 22nd until May 28th, trainers were gifted Galarian Mr. Mime and an assortment of rare Pokéballs. From May 29th-June 4th, Galarian Ponyta was up for grabs, again, packaged with some unique Pokéballs. Then, a personal favorite, last week’s Galarian Corsola with multiple evolutionary items.

All three Pokémon possessed their Hidden Abilities; Ice Body (Mr. Mime), Anticipation (Ponyta), and Cursed Body (Corsola). And Galarian Meowth will as well. It’s Hidden Ability, Unnerve, prevents opposing Pokémon from eating berries while in battle.

Getting Rich Quick, In Pokémon

The Candies and Nuggets, the big-ticket items, are overwhelmingly more exciting than the freebie Pokémon itself. 50 Big Nuggets equates to an unfathomable amount of Pokémon dollars when sold at a Pokémart. According to Bulbapedia, the Big Nugget sells for 20,000 in Pokémon Sword and Shield. You could trade them for 1,250 Ultra Balls, or 3,333 Full Restores.

On top of that, 100 Large EXP Candies will be enough to jump-start an entirely brand-new Pokémon team from the ground up.

With the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass due out on June 17, now is the perfect time to fire up the Switch and explore with an entirely new. With four Mystery-Gift Pokémon and all the Big Nuggets and EXP candies you could need, any trainer would be silly to run from the challenge of The Isle of Armor.
