It’s been three months since Gabrielle Union‘s 50th birthday, but she cannot stop gushing over it as she detailed the experience of a trip to Africa. For Union, life is beginning at 50 again. Somehow, this film star has struck a good bargain with the anti-aging department, and she barely looks her age.

The mother-of-one and wife to former basketball star Dwyane Wade is living a fulfilled life with a great romance, a happy family, and a soaring career. Last year, to celebrate one of the best moments of her life, Gabrielle Union’s 50th birthday, the “Being Mary Jane” star jetted to Africa.

Fans caught a glimpse of her time in the rich continent as she partied with friends in Tanzania. She also launched her haircare brand “Flawless” in South Africa.

On top of visiting different countries, Gabrielle Union’s 50th birthday party was cramped with those who truly love her, including her husband, daughter, and friends. The actress who claimed via a post at the time that “this cruise into 50 has been smooooooth,” is refusing to take back her words. See what she shared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

All About Gabrielle Union’s Africa Trip for Her 50th Birthday

Gabrielle Union’s 50th birthday was spent meandering through countries and cities in Africa, but not without leaving long-lasting memories. The actress relived the moment when speaking to talk show host, Jennifer Hudson. She began by confessing her hope to travel with fifty people.

Gabrielle Union’s Africa trip goal was to hit as many countries as possible. However, she had some highlights from the few she visited. One never-forgetting ordeal was when she watched Lisa Lisa perform. Feeling rather pumped she told Hudson:

Apart from launching her hair care product, she toured South Africa, partying in Tanzania, and ended up on the Safari, in Namibia, with her husband and daughter. The family got there in time to see the lions mating. This rare sight was exciting for the adults, but Kaavia James, her 4-year-old pulled out her compassion card.

“My child’s like, ‘he’s hurting her.’ I’m like I hope not,” explained Union, who added that they calmly gave her “the talk.”
