Apple, as previous reports suggested, will launch two new MacBook Pro models this year. And today, reputed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said (via MacRumors) in a note to investors that Apple is indeed working on two MacBook Pros that will come with major design changes.

No Touch Bar, Finally!

Kuo went on to add that Apple is also planning to get rid of the OLED touch bar that is there on current MacBook Pros. So, this means that the company will be moving back to physical function keys (at last!), eliminating the possibility of a 3D touch-enabled touch bar that was hinted at by an earlier patent. He also says that the company will restore the Magsafe charging connector design in these models.

More I/O Ports in MacBook Pro

Moreover, the analyst stated that there will more ports in these MacBook Pro models for users to connect various kinds of external devices. And according to Kuo, with more ports in these models, most people may not have to spend on additional dongles or adapters to connect other devices to their MacBooks.

Other than these changes, these MacBook Pro models will use the same heat pipe design that is there in the current-gen 16-inch MacBook Pro. According to Kuo, this design is much better in comparison to the design of the current-gen 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models as it increases the computing power of the device.
