CyberConnect 2 has officially released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel to their first self-published title, the tactical RPG Fuga Melodies of Steel 2. The game is tentatively called Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 and is due for release sometime in 2023. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 Details and Story

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is a sequel to CyberConnect 2’s first self-published game, Fuga: Melodies of Steel. Upon releasing on July 29, 2021, the game received critical acclaim for its story, characters, visuals, and gameplay, although it did not sell as well as the company may have hoped.

Regardless, it is still seeing success and the developers hope the sequel will be just as praised. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is set to release on multiple platforms upon launch and will be available in various languages for each system, including Japanese, English, and French. Spanish, Italian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, German, Korean, LATAM Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian are planned to be added later on.

The following is the official description of the game released by CyberConnect 2 on their social media pages:

“A year has passed… but the fight didn’t end there. Once again, the children head towards the chaos of battle aboard a tank! What terrible fate awaits them, and what secrets remain hidden within this world?”

CyberConnect 2 plans to ramp up the battle system and strategy elements for the sequel. It will also feature a Judgment System that will be divided between Empathy and Resolve, and the course of the game’s story will change depending on the choices the player makes made through this system.

Currently, a demo for the original game is available on all platforms and plays up to chapter 3 with the ability to transfer save data to the full game once purchased.
