Hot off the monumental success of Elden Ring, its follow-up might be closer than we ever thought. FromSoftware is already hiring for a few new projects that it’s working on. The company announced the new openings via Twitter with a link that leads to the FromSoftware website. The banner image on the website shows Sekiro, Elden Ring, and the somewhat surprising Armored Core.

President of FromSoftware, Hidetaka Miyazaki, had an interview with 4gamer (through VGC). In the interview, he talked about how an unannounced project is already in its final stages of development. And that the company is hiring for even more projects in the future. Miyazaki intends to continue directing games and said one of the unannounced games has some abstract fantasy ideas that do not match up with FromSoftware’s previous works.
What is FromSoftware Working On?
One of the unannounced projects could be a new Armored Core game or a remake. That is a likely possibility because earlier this year, some alleged screenshots had leaked of an Armored Core project that was under development.
In an older interview in 2018, Miyazaki said that FromSoftware is working on “three and a half” games. Two of the three games were Sekiro and Elden Ring; the half one was Déraciné, a PSVR title. The last game still remains unannounced and is probably the one that is in the final stages of development. This would mean that this title has been in the works since 2016, and it probably won’t go live until 2023.
There is a high likelihood that one of the games FromSoftware is working on is a PS VR2 title since that is expected to launch with over 20 games.
Elden Ring will continue to be supported as it is still a relatively recent game. Hidetaka Miyazaki said that he is not ready to talk about the other future projects right now. One thing is for sure; we’ll see Elden Ring’s follow-up sooner than expected.
