Friday the 13th Celebrates 40th Anniversary
The cult-classic hit is celebrating its 40th year in 2020. To celebrate, Paramount Pictures has rolled a few things out to mark the occasion.
Firstly, a screening of a ‘remastered’ edition part will run in October. While the majority of theaters are closed, Friday The 13th is lucky enough to play in a few select theaters. In addition to the remaster, attendees will also view Secrets Galore Behind The Gore – Friday the 13th.
Secrets Galore Behind The Gore will feature renowned horror-effects artist Tom Savini. Known for his work on Dawn of The Dead, the artist will delve into the picture’s goriest moments. Friday the 13th was known for a great deal of ‘revolutionary’ contributions to the horror genre.
The anniversary event will be hosted by Paramount Pictures and Fathom Events. Showings of the event will be on October 4th at 7 pm local time and October 7th at 7 pm and 10 pm respectively. The three lucky cities are Roseville, Rocklin, and Napa, California. Seating is limited due to pandemic restrictions. Check here to see if you can still reserve your tickets.
Attending the event would be an ideal mini-vacation for an avid horror fan. Make sure to inform your fellow horror aficionados.
