In this year’s E3, Freedom Games has presented an abundance of announcements with an in-depth look at the publishing label’s most anticipated projects, along with new titles and release dates. Dreamscaper Leaves Early Access on August 12

This underrated surreal action rogue-lite from Afterburner Studios will see its 1.0 release this summer on August 12 via Steam and Nintendo Switch. Trapped in a violent loop of “DREAM. DIE. WAKE. REPEAT,” the player must delve deep into their subconscious and uncover powerful artifacts to vanquish their lucid nightmares. Positively received by the community, the game has been in development for an entire year and is now ready to officially declare itself ready as what its community wanted it to be. The 1.0 update will feature a plethora of new content, including new difficulty settings, bosses, environments, enemies, endings, and music.

Dark Deity Turn-Based Tactical RPG is in the Works

Fans of the classic Fire Emblem games and Final Fantasy Tactics should keep an eye on this nostalgia-charged RPG developed by Sword & Axe. In a land broken by reckless wars and a craving for dark arcane power, players must empower and command their legendary army to restore the peace. Notably, all of the 30 playable characters are voiced, giving each of them a unique personality. There’s no news about an exact release date, but the dev team is hard at work on delivering a fantastic experience.

Coromon Monster-Taming RPG Announced for a 2021 Release

If the name didn’t blatantly give it away, Coromon is a Pokemon-esque monster-taming RPG set in the near future. The charming pixelated world pays homage to its inspiration and is filled with enticing mysteries and colorful creatures. In development by TRAGsoft, the game is said to be releasing sometime later this year.

One Lonely Outpost is Planned for Release in Early 2022

It’s like Stardew Valley but in space! In this lovely colony-farming sim by Aurorian Studios, players will grow their quaint space colony into a vibrant community. You’ll have your traditional animals and natural produce, but One Lonely Outpost also features unique sci-fi robo-cows and gene-spliced crops. The package comes complete with farming, mining, socializing with other colonists, romancing, exploring, and much more. 

Cat Cafe Manager is Coming to PC and Switch in Q2 2022

Become the ultimate “crazy cat lady (or man)” who runs an enchanting cafe filled with adorable cats. Pitiful stray kitties need a new home, so welcome them into your feline-focused bistro to provide them with love and care. Have a chat with the pleasant townsfolk over a cup while petting your purring pets. The game is being developed by Roost Games and is scheduled to come out next Summer. 

To The Rescue! Coming This Fall for PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch 

With a cafe sim for cat lovers, those more fond of dogs can dive into To The Rescue!, a charming dog shelter sim releasing this Fall. Watch over and nurture a variety of unique dogs while finding the most suitable homes for their future. Anuchard Fantasy Action RPG Releases Q1 of 2022

In a retro-inspired 2D action RPG, a bell-wielding faceless protagonist must save the lands of Anuchard by reawakening the Ancient Guardians. Players must venture through hazardous environments, delve into mysterious, arcane dungeons, and clobber enemies with a good ol’ bell-ring to the head. Indie studio stellarNull will have the game available sometime at the beginning of next year for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S systems. 

Airborne Kingdom Will Be Coming to Consoles Later This Year

In December of last year, The Wandering Band released an intriguing, atmospheric city builder set in the clouds over a wide-open desert. Unite the terrestrial kingdoms as they lend their aid to rebuild the lost aerial technology of the ancient Airborne Kingdom. It is the Laputa from Castle in the Sky with a Middle Eastern look. While the game was initially an exclusive for the Epic Games Store, it will now be coming to the other platforms for console gamers to enjoy. Monster Outbreak Announces a 2022 Launch Window for PC

Monster Outbreak is a tower defense version of PixARK but without the countless bugs and playerbase salt. GameMunchers are hard at work creating a single-player and co-op survival adventure where players will need to hold off incoming waves of monsters from every direction. The visuals look charming, and the gameplay sounds genuinely fun and exciting. Hopefully, the time between now and its release in 2022 is enough for the devs to make Monster Outbreak into something extraordinary.

Sands of Aura Hitting Early Access in 2022

Chashu Entertainment has on its hands the recipe for something potentially astonishing. Sands of Aura is a Diablo-like open-world action-adventure set in a fantasy realm buried beneath a sea of sand. The game features deep exploration, souls-like combat, and a captivating story that tells the tale of a dying world. It should be seeing an Early Access release next year.

Slaughter League Brings a Brutal Game Show Experience This Fall

Slaughter League is like those insane Mario Maker levels with a hint of Fall Guys. Its presentation is a wild ride of brutality, chaotic madness, and competitive fun. Along with the game’s built-in levels, the community can create and design their own lethal obstacle courses. Developed by Microwave Games, this outlandish gladiatorial experience will be releasing this Fall.

Tower Rush 2D Auto-Battler Will Storm PC in 2022

Tower Rush is an intense, action-packed RTS survival experience developed by Megaglope Studios. While it looks like something that would more likely appear in the mobile market, some PC players may find this exciting take on the tower defense and action game genre to be something up their alley. To defend yourself from the surge of enemies, you’ll need to focus on recruiting the best units and strategically equipping beneficial abilities to earn better upgrades and talents to overcome the onslaught of evil. The game should be seeing its launch in 2022.
