Microsoft is offering free online mutiplayer for Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamers even though they are not subscribed to Xbox Live Gold.

Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb made the announcement on his official website. He posted: “For the first time ever all Xbox Live members without a Gold membership can play online with friends for FREE during Free Multiplayer Weekend on BOTH Xbox One and Xbox 360.”

The free online days are from June 9th until June 12th. If you normally don’t have Xbox Live Gold, you can now access online multiplayer so you can play against thousands of other gamers worldwide.

The other big announcement is that Rocket League will be playable for free during the same days. If you have not tried Rocket League before, now is the best time to see why the game has become so popular. We guarantee you’ll become addicted once you start playing it for the first time.

If you like online multiplayer after the trial ends, you can go to the Xbox Live marketplace to purchase a Gold subscription. You can purchase to have it for 1 month, 3 months or 12 months. Prices will vary depending on where you live.
