Reality TV is notorious for manipulating people’s situations, like Dancing With the Stars. Frankie Muniz was on DWTS in 2017, where he opened up about his memory loss. Making a guest appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, he opened up about how the show exaggerated his memory loss. He also gave an update on his health to clear things up.

On an episode of DWTS, Frankie Muniz was asked about his “most memorable year,” which the show decided was 2001. He was uncertain about the question, which made him look like he was suffering from memory loss.

Frankie Muniz talks DWTS manipulation

The way he was portrayed in the series spread throughout the world. Searching “Frankie Muniz DWTS” or just searching his name will likely bring up how he does not remember anything. He went on about how he remembers plenty, like his best-known role as Malcolm in the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, but he does not remember everything as life goes on.

Regarding his health and what DWTS missed, Frankie Muniz was misdiagnosed with a Transient Ischemic Attack, known as mini-strokes. One doctor found that he was having aura migraines. It leads to him losing his vision, being unable to speak, and being unable to recognize faces. He is still trying to figure out the situation, like what “triggers” an episode. While he still examines his diet and other parts of his life to figure out what causes an episode, he has not had one in years.

DWTS brought attention to Frankie Muniz, but he has been known for many major roles in the early to mid-2000s. The star’s notable films and shows have been Malcolm in the Middle, Agent Cody Banks, Big Fat Liar, and Dr. Dolittle 2. In recent years, he has made cameos as himself on Harley Quinn and Preacher. He is still working as he is currently signed on for Hot Bath an’ a Stiff Drink 2.
