FoxNext games upcoming project is based on a new Alien franchise. The firm has acquired a game developer Cold Iron Studios. The studio has well based on developing massively multiplayer online games. According to the news sources, the first game to be developed in collaboration with both the firms will be set in the “Alien” universe. Yet there are no intact details released on the gameplay and other features. Considering the types of game the studio develops, it can possibly be an fps game.

On the project following is the statement by the studio: “Cold Iron Studios has amazing design, craftsmanship and development talent that we are excited to welcome at FoxNext Games as we pursue our goal to build a multi-platform, multi-genre portfolio of great games,” Aaron Loeb, President of Studios, FoxNext Games, said. “I am a personal fan of Cold Iron’s previous work and all of us at FoxNext Games are thrilled to be working with them as they create an action-packed persistent world, steeped in the mysteries of this beloved Alien universe.”

Industry veterans are working in Cold Iron Studios and have a good record of large-scale projects. Craig Zinkievich is the CEO, Shannon Posniewski is the CTO and Matt Highison is handling the responsibility of Creative Director. The studio has worked on popular titles like Neverwinter, Metroid Prime, Bioshock Infinite, etc.

FoxNext has announced Marvel Strike Force as its first titles last year. It is a free-to-play mobile game where a team of heroes and villains can compete with each other in the Marvel Universe. The game is scheduled to launch this year.
