Forza Horizon 5, the latest open-world racing game from Microsoft and Playground Games, launches with an impressive amount of cars you can collect and drive. With 504 cars from different manufacturers in the base game and more will be added through upcoming updates. As a true gearhead, obviously, you would want to catch ’em all and unlock the iconic cars you can find. One of them is definitely the DeLorean DMC-12 that got its pop-culture status thanks to the Back to the Future series. Here’s how you can get the slick and futuristic-looking DeLorean DMC-12 in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 – How to Get the DeLorean

To get your hands on the DeLorean DMC-12, simply complete the challenges in the Summer Festival Playlist. The Festival Playlist is like a season pass system for Forza Horizon 5, where a set of challenges will rotate periodically. By finishing them, you will get points that can be redeemed to unlock more cars. For Forza Horizon 5‘s DeLorean DMC-12 itself, all you need is to just collect 26 points and you can unlock it through the Festival Playlist menu. Here are all the cars you can unlock in this year’s first-ever Festival Playlist:

Nevertheless, there are two things to note about this car. First of all, it’s not the Back to the Future‘s DeLorean Time Machine. Rocket League does have one, though. And just like in real life, the DeLorean isn’t actually tough enough to compete with high-end cars. It took 9.5 seconds to go from 0-60mph. Still, through Forza Horizon 5’s customization feature you can at least try to tweak DeLorean DMC-12 to be a beefier car.

Forza Horizon 5 is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass.
