A new week in Fortnite brings new quests for gamers to raise the XP and win awesome prizes. One new challenge in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is titled “Plant Wiretaps to Monitor IO Communications.” This involves fans planting technology in three separate locations on the map to listen in to the enemy’s conversations and gain intel. This challenge is relatively easy, but not knowing the proper locations can be time-consuming for gamers. So for players looking to finish this quest quickly, here is where to plant wiretaps in Fortnite.

Where to plant Wiretap 1
The first wiretap can be placed in the small facility in the center of the map north of Tilted Tower. Once players reach the building on the dock, they should find a small white glowing spot that can be interacted with to place down the wiretap. This will be on the top side of the building over the hill next to the oil canisters.
To place the wiretap, run up to the glowing spot and hold down the corresponding button to the fans’ gaming platform of choice. There should be a small pop-up window on the top left indicating that it’s been done correctly and how many more need to be placed.
Wiretap 2
The second Fortnite wiretap location is on the other side of the lake next to the last wiretap. Players can place it next to The Fortress, just be careful of a load of nearby AI enemies. Gamers can either take them all out before putting the tap or sneak past them. The wiretap spot will be located in the back entrance of The Fortress, right next to the hangar door facing the edge of the cliff.
Wiretap 3
The last wiretap can be placed further west, right near the Command Cavern. Once gamers reach the Command Cavern, head to the left-hand side of the facility when looking at the map. There should be a small subsection of the facility with a laser cannon and an antenna tower. Go up the stairs to the antenna, and the wiretap can be placed right at the base of the tower to complete the Fortnite wiretap challenge.
The particular order of the wiretaps doesn’t matter as long as they are all placed down. Once this Fortnite weekly challenge has been done correctly, gamers should notice the same pop-up window come up on the top left, this time with a green checkmark. Additionally, they will be rewarded 23,000 XP points.
