“Plant saplings at Bomb Crater Clusters” is one of the quests for Week 8 in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, tasking players with restoring the war-torn lands by regrowing the forests destroyed by the conflict between the Resistance and IO. Fortunately, planting these saplings is straightforward and only requires fans to hold down their specific interact button/key to fulfill the task. To complete the Week 8 quest, Fornite players will need to plant three saplings within the areas on the map with the black patches of scorched earth. Once all the young trees have been placed, fans will receive 20,000 Battle Pass XP for their efforts.

Every Sapling Location in Fortnite

There are five possible areas where Fornite fans can plant their three saplings. The first two are the Bomb Crater Clusters south of Greasy Grove on the bottom-left section of the Battle Royale Map. After landing or traveling to the area, look for white holographic images of saplings. These markers indicate the spots where to plant the trees.

Another location where Fortnite players can plant saplings is the Bomb Crater Cluster southwest of The Joneses and north of Condo Canyon. If fans struggle to see where to place the trees amidst the smoking dirt, they can check their minimap for small white icons with exclamation points.

The fourth and fifth locations for planting saplings on the Island are the two patches of craters north of The Daily Bugle. One spot is the Unremarkable House, and the other is by Catastrophe Crater. Before planting the trees, players are recommended to scan the area for any potential hostile combatants in the vicinity. After all, the Bomb Crater Clusters do not provide much cover from gunfire. Therefore, it is most optimal to complete this quest at the start of a match in a place where other players are less likely to go.

Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
